COVID-19

We are continuing to operate as normally as possible and our employees are following best practice procedures with regards to safeguarding against Covid-19.

There has been minimal impact upon the services we can offer, with only certain aspects of survey work (e.g. internal inspection of inhabited dwellings) being restricted until further notice.

As such, please feel free to inquire regarding any ecological surveys or assessments required.

Established in 2018 by Ben Jervis (Ben) and Christine Hipperson (CH), Bench Ecology is an independent ecological consultancy focused on providing great customer service through a reliable and pragmatic approach to ecology issues.

At Bench Ecology, we are firm supporters of sustainable development and believe construction and conservation can work together to maintain and improve biodiversity. There are many low-cost and low-maintenance solutions to enhance sites for wildlife and we look to incorporate such features where feasible.

Ben and Christine are both Full members of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) and hold Natural England class survey licences for a range of protected species, including bats and great crested newts. They collectively have over 15 years of experience as consultants and have contributed to planning applications ranging from single dwellings to large-scale developments across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex.

If you are in need of an ecology survey for planning or require ecological advice for a site, please do not hesitate to contact us.
